In the early part of last December I had a class to create a flip over calendar, everyone loved it and made me promise we will do another later in this new year! I thought I might start each month this year by posting the page for that month, so today I share, April which you can see has April Showers as its theme, check out those cute wellies (wellington boots) with matching umbrella!
Continue readingSpring has sprung, we have sunny weather here in North Texas, and here we are in Easter Week. My card uses the ‘soon to retire’ Gift of Hope Stamp Set, with its peaceful church and dainty floral garland.
I associated Easter colors with green and purple, I don’t know why that would be but they just work for me so Highland Heather and Soft Seafoam feature in today’s card.

Continue readingI always remember my grandmother having hydrangea bushes in her front garden with huge flower heads, I loved them then and love them still. When I came to live in North Texas I planted some in my front garden, although they grew they never really thrived and I never got the big flower heads I remember as a child.
The Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper gives me all the beautiful hydrangea’s I want and I have used it on today’s card. DSP is one of the first things I look at when a new catalog comes out – and I have to admit that over the years I have been a bit of a hoarder. A few years ago I made a promise to myself that I would use more!
Continue readingI have shared how I have a tendency to hoard my Designer Series Paper and how I have set a personal goal to use it more often! Today’s card using the beautiful Ornate Garden Specialty Paper in all its glory, taking center stage.
I selected a couple of the colors from the decorative paper for my card base and layers and let the paper do the rest, the only stamping is the greeting!
