In among all the holiday celebrations there are birthdays – tomorrow would have been my dear Pop’s 90th – so I am commemorating with a card for the fellas today.
The Rooted in Nature stamp set paired with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder is a perfect combination ~ add some Early Expresso and throw in a little Pumpkin Pie….. and I think it really works for the guys!
I love the combination of reds and greens at Christmas – the tree in my family room has a red, green and gold theme. Having said that I also love the combination of blue and silver – so I have a tree in my craft room/study in those colors!
The Tidings All Around stamp set was one of the first on my wish list when the 2019 Holiday Catalog came out – I knew instantly what I was going to do with it and what colors I would use.
I love to send thank you cards and in a few weeks time we are going to need some so now is a good time to start. I have chosen the Love What You Do stamp set along with a couple of my favorite greens, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz – they work so well together.
The Painted Harvest Stamp Set was one of my absolute favorites this time last year, then new goodies come along which I am just as excited about , but I still love this set so time to use it for another thanksgiving themed card.
I used yellows and browns to make the flowers look like sunflowers, change out the greeting and this would make a great birthday card as well!
We will be celebrating Thanksgiving here in the US in the coming days, as an ex-pat Brit – it is not a holiday that we were familiar with when we came to the US in 2001. Since that time we have celebrated the holiday with our friends here and certainly enjoy the traditions and food linked to the holiday.
So today is has a thanksgiving flavor but would also be perfect as a birthday or an all occasion card. The To every Season Stamp Set and coordination Every Season Punch Pack
We have a Christmas card sneaking into my blog today. The Mercury Glass Acetate Sheet is in the 2019 Holiday Catalog – it is so pretty and gives our card projects such a pop when used.
The card also features the So Many Stars Bundle which has the So Many Stars stamp set and the Stitched Stars Dies. I have borrowed the card and video from Stampin’ UP! because it is just the perfect way to use these products together.
I could not resist the Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar and nor could the ladies who attended the stamp camp where they created theirs.
When I finished mine I had some ‘bits’ left over and could not bear to just discard them so used co-ordinating Christmas Countdown Stamp Set along with some Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes, a bit of extra card and created 3 delightful Christmas Cards!.
Over the last couple of weeks I have shared some Christmas themed cards using the Christmastime is Here Suite of products. Today I have one that uses the beautiful products but is a card that is just perfect for any occasion – I have not used a greeting as the flower itself just does not need anything extra – I can write exactly what I want to say inside the card when I am ready!

With the holiday season coming on us quickly, now might be the time to get some thank you cards made ready sending out after Christmas. With today’s card I have pulled out the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set with the coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch, and paired the soft subtleness of Purple Posy with the rich jewel tone of Blackberry Bliss.
I love to do fancy folds so when one of my lovely customers asked if we could do a ‘box’ card at a future class it gave me a chance to reach back into my archives and find one I had done some 6 – 7 years ago.
I have bought it up to date with the beautiful Come Together Suite of products, choosing the Pretty Peacock and Pear Pizzazz colors from this suite.
