Treat holders – perfect for this time of year – a pretty way to dress up some candy bars to give as little gifts or to dress up your holiday table.
The finished size is 5″ tall by 2″ wide and 1″ deep so will also hold other little treats, maybe a lipstick or bottle of nail polish, a couple of tealights if you put them in sideways. Continue reading
I just love hedgehogs – they remind me of my childhood when we would find them in the garden and put out bread soaked in milk! Well, we all now know that this is NOT good for them at all and a little dog or cat food would have been far more suitable!
Another thing I love at the moment is the Painted Harvest Stamp set – it is so versatile it even makes hedgehogs! Continue reading
Thanksgiving is behind us and Christmas 2017 is just on the horizon – it does not seem that long since we were planning and preparing for Christmas 2016 – the year has simply flown by!
Today’s project would make the most perfect gift for a friend, co-worker, teacher, hairdresser you name it and it will just fit the bill…… and everything fits into a mini pizza box! Continue reading
Today is Thanksgiving here in the US, and while it is not a holiday that we recognized before coming to live in this country, we have embraced the sentiment behind the day. It is traditional to think about the things you are thankful for today and there is much to be thankful for – not least the friendships we have made since coming to the US and those I have made thru my lovely ladies who come to my classes and workshops.
Today’s card is not a typical Thanksgiving card but it does say exactly what I feel………….

The Eclipse Technique is very popular at the moment and despite the WOW of the main message popping out of the front of the card, is surprising easy to do. I made this card early in October , for obvious reasons with it being pink, but I do love pink and brown together – such a soothing combination. Continue reading
I think I have said on other occasions how much I like autumn colors and the natural feel of burlap and wood and I am always drawn to anything in those colors!
I don’t spend a lot of time on Pinterest – I find that time just disappears when I start clicking around but a few weeks ago I was letting my fingers ‘do the walking’ and came across a wreath from a UK Stampin’ UP! demonstrator which just called my name and I could not resist casing it. As always I had to put my own little spin on it.

One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is our twice annual get together where we get to see what new things are happening withing the Stampin’ UP world – I have just got back from Salt Lake City UT where I spent 3 days with 2500 other SU demonstrators and members of the Corporate Team.
As I said this is a chance for Stampin’ Up! to share new things and BOY did they have a great one for us this time…………………….. Continue reading
Rather than just have Thanksgiving projects during November and Christmas during December I am going to mix things up a little and scatter them over the coming weeks.
Today I have a really cute Christmas themed shaker card – unusually for me I have used 3 stamp sets on this one but it gave me the effect I was looking for. Continue reading
We have had some Christmas and Autumn themed projects recently so time for a little change, I trawled along my stamp shelf and picked out the Fairy Celebration Stamp set, which I have not used nearly enough.
The set has some lovely images just perfect for coloring so I broke out my Watercolor Pencils to make a birthday card for Grand-daughter #3; as her birthday is the day before mine it is an easy one to remember! Continue reading
