Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop ~ Spring/New Beginnings

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from  Rebecca-Jo’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month we have been challenged with a Spring/New Beginnings theme

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.

Path of Petals ~ Sympathy

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Today’s card uses some products that will be retiring in the coming weeks 😦   The  Path of Petals Stamp Set has some very pretty ‘wispy’ sort of flowers and leaves as well as some really useful greetings – and you know I love a stamp set with images and greetings!

I chose to use the sharing in your sorrow greeting for this one, sadly it is necessary to make cards for these occasions, but any of the greetings in this set would work in the space on  this card.

One Sheet Wonder ~ 6 cards with Gift Box

Welcome back to my corner of the world

While we are all practicing social distancing I have designed a class that you can do in the comfort and safety of your own home.

The One Sheet Wonder is one of my favorite techniques and I have featured them in my stamp camps and getaways and now I am offering you the opportunity to stamp along with me on my latest designs.

Beautiful Friendship with some ‘block’ stampin’ ~ Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Today’s card was inspired by my dear friend, Elly, of Ellymentry Papercrafting, in the UK.  She did her first facebook live a couple of weeks ago and created a card using a stamp to build up a trellis for her flowers.  Well I did not have that stamp  so set about working out how I could stamp some thin lines – and viola – it came to me in a flash……… the side edge of an acrylic block would be just perfect!

I used the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set and three ink colors, that’s it so I am going to consider this another of my Sweet and Simple Challenge cards (Click here for more info) Scroll a little further down and you will see my ‘accidental’ stepped up version!

Timeless Tropical Virtual Vacation

Welcome back to my corner of the world

So we are all still practicing social distancing and if you are like me, hunkering down in the house and garden.  I am sure we are all looking forward to our  lives opening up at some time but in the meantime I have a virtual vacation to share today from the Stampin’ UP! Tropical Oasis Suite of products.

If you were part of my DSP, Ribbon and Embellishment Share back in January/February you will already have some of these great products in your stash, now would be a great time to pull them out and have a virtual vacation of your own! Continue reading

Ornate Borders ~ Melon Mambo or Highland Heather?

Welcome back to my corner of the world

During April we have had the early release of the Ornate Garden Suite which  will be in the new 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalog – I have shared a few other cards using the products in this suite – scroll on down for the links 🙂

Today I have just used the Ornate Borders Dies and the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, no stampin’ , no ink, just letting the design and color do all the ‘talking’.  Both cards are the same – I have simply switched out Whisper White and Basic Black and thrown in a little splash of color.  Perfect for many different occasions.

Thank You ~ Gift Card Holder

Welcome back to my corner of the world

As many of you know, during tax season, I work for the largest retail tax preparation service here in the US.  Today would normally be ‘Tax Filing Day’ but this year it has been extended to July 15th, however today is the last day of my 18th tax season.  I recognize the help and support of our people who work the front desk in the office and we have a little ‘whip-round’ to give a little gift to them as a sincere thank you for their hard work, as a paper crafter I cannot just give them the card – it has to be prettied up!

I have shared this style of gift card holder before, if you scroll down you will see a link to the video I made at the time, but today’s one is using current papers and dies.

Beautiful You Retiform Technique Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I have a great technique video to share today – the Retiform Technique.  I had no idea what it meant,  added to which  my spell checker doesn’t even recognise it!  So  I checked out the definition of retiform ~ ‘having the form of or resembling a net’ ….. and that is exactly what this technique creates!

I chose to use the Beautiful You Stamp Set because it has nice big images which meant I could show you on a video quickly – but if you make each of the sections smaller you can use smaller images to build up an even more intricate pattern.

Ornate Style with some relaxing Stampin’ Blends Coloring

Welcome back to my corner of the world

As I write this post it is Good Friday – the weather is absolutely beautiful (although a tiny tad chilly) this morning and as I look out,  my garden has patches of color from the early flowering plants.  It makes me think that despite all of the sad and anxious times we are living thru at the moment – nature is carrying on in her own sweet way bringing  fresh growth and color.

My card today carries on this theme – I have chosen to use the big flower stamp from the Ornate Style Stamp Set and some relaxing coloring with Stampin’ Blends.
