Super Dramatic Valentine Card Idea

When I think of valentine cards I tend to think of reds and pinks – to break out of that box I changed out the pink for black in today’s card and it did make a dramatic card, which I think would make a really good card for the fellas in our lives!

I used the Country Bouquet Stamp Set with the coordinating Country Bouquet Punch along with the ovals from the Framed Florets Dies. Don’t forget we are now in Sale-a-bration, check out the details here

Today I have paired 2 stamp sets with one of new decorative paper packs from the 2023 Jan – April Mini Catalog. Heat Embossing is one of my favorite techniques and using it on decorative paper is something I had not done before, I created my card during a Facebook live recently and I am sharing that video with you in this post……….. It is amazing what you can get paper to do! My card today has taken some double sided decorative paper and created a twisted ribbon effect, it was a lot of fun to do and remarkably easy – things usually are when you know to do them. So in today’s card and video I share how I do this technique, showcasing one of the new decorative papers that will be available on January 5th when the new 2023 Jan – May mini catalog goes LIVE! 🙂

I just love slim line cards – they give you a little more room to work a design than our regular 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards without having to pay any additional postage!

Soft Seedlings Any Occasion Card

The leaves have finally dropped from the trees in our garden, I have to say this year they fell a lot later than usual and we had some magnificent colors because of this. Like the leaves, some of our products are about to go away, one of them is the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set – so I thought I would give it one more outing, with a simple but very impressive coloring technique. (Gosh – I sound a little poetic today!)
