How delightful to get this bright and cheerful card in the post when you are feeling ‘not so good’. I am sure that there are many of us who know someone who has not been in the best of health, either thru the current health crisis or other issues, so having some Get Well Cards on hand is very useful.

The Healing Hugs stamp set is perfectly named and perfect for making todays’ card. I chose Magenta Madness paired with some Smoky Slate and Silver Foil for this little splash of cheerfulness.

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Smoky Slate Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 x 2 3/4 Magenta Madness Card
• Layer 2: 4 3/4 c 2 1/2 Basic White Card
• Ink Color: Smoky Slate

I randomly stamped the leaves using the same color ink as card, this is called ‘tone-on-tone’ stamping – if you scroll down a little there is a link with some more info on the effective technique.

The greeting is then stamped onto the Basic White card, then the two sets of leaves, before attaching to the Magenta Madness layer then onto the card base. I cut 2 daisies, layered them together with a mini glue dot then used my bone folder to curl the petals before attaching to the card with a Stampin Dimensional. The little Silver Foil is cut with the Sprig Punch and the Small Bloom Punch for the center of my daisy.
