I found some scraps of decorative paper, I know they are from a long retired pack but I could not bare to waste them! I know many of us have ‘old stuff’ waiting patiently to be used, waiting their turn after we have played with the ‘new stuff’ – so let us not waste them – pick out a few of the colors for your ink and card and turn them into a pretty thank you card.

As the colors are so striking I decided to keep the card itself very simple, just using a very simple fun gatefold.

I chose to feature the Seashells 3D embossing folder, just adding a simple greeting so the details of this embossing folder do not get lost. I am thinking this would make a really good masculine thank you card…….. change out the greeting and it would be a perfect masculine birthday card as well!!
Continue readingI have used the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set a lot, I love the different images and it has some pretty greetings as well. I like to think out of the box for my color combinations, sometimes it is inspired by ribbon, decorative paper or scraps I find on my work station that just ‘look’ interesting and appealing. So that is how the Misty Moonlight and Mint Macaron used today came into being – scraps waiting to be tidied away 🙂
Continue readingI love the watercolor effect the Artistically Inked Stamp Set gives, a great texture stamp, flowers and leaves and 4 very useful greetings. Today’s card uses this set and is the result of a color challenge I took part in a few weeks ago the result is a very pretty feminine card.

I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! Oh … and there is a video tutorial to go with it 🙂
