Stampin Up have a range of 50 different colors in the color families – each one has ink and card and a matching marker pen. There are ink refills for the ink pads but did you know that you could refill the markers using the same ink as for reinking your stamp pads? Continue reading
Share What You Love ~Ink and Share Blog Hop
Today I am thrilled to be taking part in the Ink & Share blog hop again. You will have arrived from Joanne Hodge’s post. This month’s theme is Sneek Peek ~ a chance to have an early look at some of the new products from the 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalog, due to be launched in just a few short days, June 1st.
I have chosen to feature one of the new card colors, a new Designer Series Paper pack and two embellishments – not a stamp set in sight! Continue reading
Animal Outing ~ Birthday
Our youngest grand-daughter just turned 3! Cannot believe how quickly those 3 years have passed. Nearby where they all live in the UK is a Wildlife Park, a favorite place for a family day-out. So when it came to making her a card this year the Animal Outing Stamp Set, which I got when attending the Stampin’ UP! demonstrator conference at the beginning of April, was perfect for her birthday card. A Touch of Vintage ~ Graceful Garden
In 2006 our Best Man got married himself. The wedding was held in a Scottish Castle which had its own private chapel where the service was held. All the guests and the Groom gathered in the gardens and we were led to the chapel by a piper in full Scottish dress. The bride arrived with her own piper a few moments later. I just love the bagpipes (not to everyones’ taste I know) but Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and I do!
It was a memorable day and each year I send them a card to commemorate their lovely day, this year I chose a rose from the Graceful Garden Stamp Set and the greeting is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.
Multi-layered Cards ~ Naturally Eclectic & Fresh Florals
This is the 3rd set of multi-layered cards I have shared – I just loved doing this technique and as I finished each set I was looking for more scraps of DSP to create more cards. It is kind of like doing a One Sheet Wonder – but using pieces that were already cut and in my stash.
I was inspired by a post from Pootles, a UK demonstrator, where she had taken some Designer Series Paper and cut it up to create a number of very pretty layered cards. Instead of cutting up my DSP I used the scraps that were left over from previous projects. As a result I made about 2 dozen cards in total and although they followed the same formula every single one is different.
I set myself a couple of rules, the layering pieces of card must be the same color as the card base and each card needed to have 3 pieces of DSP.
Mastering Ribbon # 3 ~ Double Bow
Stampin’ UP! has the most amazing selection of ribbons and trims ranging from twine up to 5/8 inch wide and the selection of textures and colors that coordinate with other products makes it so easy to decorate cards and other paper crafting projects. I often find myself looking at my ribbons and trims first for inspiration when starting the design on a project.
Today’s video shares my way of tying a double looped bow – by that I mean each bow has 4 loops ~ two on each side, and two tails. So pretty and luxurious! Continue reading
Daisy Delight – Birthday
Another favorite Stamp Set is Daisy Delight and usually I grab that beautiful big daisy when I open the stamp box but if you look closer there are some really pretty, little delicate flowers that I used to build up this card for my younger sister.
I chose Peekaboo Peach because it is about to retire and it is another of those colors I think are bright a summery!

Truly Tailored – Birthday or Father’s Day Card
Today it’s time for another ‘Guy’ card – I think I have shared on a number of occasions how difficult I find it to make for the fella’s in my life but the Truly Tailored Stamp set makes it a lot easier – along with the Tailored Tag Punch. ~ available as a bundle until May 31st 2018 which would give you a 10% discount.
I think this card would be perfect for a birthday or indeed Father’s Day on June 17th, 2018.

Multi-layered Cards ~ Eastern Palace & Delightful Daisy
Last week I shared some cards I had made from scraps of Designer Series Paper, I rarely throw away my off-cuts and after I had seen some cards made by Pootles, a UK demonstrator, I was so glad I had not. She had taken some Designer Series Paper and cut it up to create a number of very pretty layered cards. The idea appealed to me very much – but instead of cutting up my DSP I used the scraps that were left over from previous projects. As a result I made about 2 dozen cards in total and although they followed the same formula every single one is different.
I set myself a couple of rules, the layering pieces of card must be the same color as the card base and each card needed to have 3 pieces of DSP.
Sweet Soiree Super Cute Gift Bag
This is the 4th project I have shared using the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit from the 2018 Occasions catalog. It is a packet of the cutest little embellishments ~ just perfect for quick and very pretty decorating of cards and other paper crafting items. The packet included ribbon, tassels, mini clothes pins, washi tape, die-cuts on card and vellum, which include cakes, flowers, leaves and numbers.
I have been enchanted with them and have been sharing some cards over the last few weeks which have also featured the Sweet Soiree DSP and the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set, today I have a little bag to share which will easily hold 6 handmade cards and matching envelopes, making a really pretty gift.
