Advent Calendar – Countdown to Christmas ~ Day 5

Here we are on Day 5 of the Advent calendar that my friend, Elly, from the UK and I designed during her visit in October using a 24 cup mini muffin pan.  Throughout December I will share one each day with a brief description of each.

You will want to open each post, as there will be a little treat behind each one!  Some days it might be some virtual ‘candy’ or sweeties as we call them in the UK, other times it might be a card, 3D project or a video!

The Petals and Paisleys suite of products is kind of flowery but they aren’t true flowers and I did resist them for a while but I gave in and  over the last few days I have shared a number of projects using these products and I have just one more to share.

Petals and Paisleys Thanksgiving ~ Stampin’ Up! Products

Today is the eve of Thanksgiving here in the USA.  Until I came to the States just over 15 years ago it was not a holiday I was familiar with, but over the years I have learned the meaning of the day and what it represents.

Falling in the autumn also means using the lovely rich tones that I love so much.  Many years ago my mother and I had our colors ‘analysed’ she was deemed to be a ‘Green Autumn’ and I was a ‘Golden Autumn’  ~ so I have used golden autumn colors in my card today. Continue reading
