I have used the sentiments from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set on other projects because I love the words and the script – but if occurred to me that I has overlooked the flowers and the coordinating Blossom Builder Punch for far too long. Today’s card puts that right and gives me a chance to do some 2-step stampin’ which this stamp set was designed to do!

Happy Birthday ~ Shadow Effect
Birthday cards are probably the most type of card we make and send, yes well Thank You cards are right up there as well – I do send a lot of those! ………..
………Back to birthday cards…… I like to make a batch of about half a dozen so that I have a few in my stash in case I need one in a hurry. In the 2017 – 2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog there is a single die, tucked away on page 213 (and pictures on page 76) which makes a lovely center piece for my card. I used it as a single layer – which was fine, but felt it needed a little something more so I doubled it up to form a ‘shadow’ effect, and here I have a video to share the technique with you 🙂 Continue reading
Lovely Laurel Vellum ~ Stampin’ Up!
I do love flowers – I grow them in my garden, in the past I have made them out of flowerpaste (gumpaste) and made them from paper.
I have to be very cautious about choosing stamp sets out of the catalog ~ my eyes are always drawn to the flower sets to the exclusion of others, great for me but not everyone has the same passion as me! The other day I found out just how cautious I had been, when I wanted to create a card with some flowers on it – I could not find a stamp set on my shelf with a flower in it!!! Continue reading
Thank you ~ old card revamped!
I was tidying my work bench (it happens from time to time) and while putting something away came across a handmade card I had been sent a couple of years ago. It was so bright and refreshing that I decide to recreate it with some stamps and embellishments that are about to retire. Continue reading

I have a couple of cards today that uses the same stamp set using ‘filler’ stamps to give a more subtle ‘watercolor’ effect, As the stamp set is a photopolymer it is very easy to line up each of the layers – in fact you could even do three layers! The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font. Continue reading

The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font. I have two examples to share today. Continue reading

World Card Making Day 2016
Do you remember the last time you received a card in the mail? In a sea of junk mail and bills, a card is a simple thing that really stands out to the person who receives it. Sending a card is a small gesture that shows just how much you care about that special someone in your life.
Today, October 1st, is World Card Making Day , celebrate by making and sending a handmade card to someone who could use a little recognition, love, or just a boost (which is anyone, really!).
So here is the card I am sending to all my readers – you do matter and I value you following along in my card crafting journey.
