Abstract Impressions ~ Kindness Changes Everything

Forty-Five years ago today I started  my first ever job!  I remember quite clearly exactly what I wore, my Mum giving me a packed lunch and me catching the bus into the local town.  The day flew by, I caught the bus home, Mum gave me a cup of tea and I promptly fell asleep in the chair – totally exhausted.

I look back at every job I have done since that day and the opportunities I was given and those I earned thru hard work (it was not easy being a girl engineer in the 70’s and 80’s) – but I appreciated then, as now, the encouragement and kindness I was shown by a lot of people along the way – today’s card reflects that.

Fairy Celebration and Stampin’ Blends ~ Birthday Card

This week has been a big one for my Great-Niece, she turned 5 on Tuesday and started ‘Big’ school on the same day.  She is a cute little character and according to her mother, fearless.  I am not quite sure a fairy is a good choice for her birthday card but I do have a photo of her in a little pink dress with a tulle skirt – so I figure she does have a ‘girly’ side to her.

The Fairy Celebration Stamp Set is perfect for coloring and a perfect chance for me to get out my Stampin’ Blends and get my coloring on!

I used a masking technique to create the card along with my Sponge Brayer to apply the ink ‘ombre’ style.

Never Ending Card ~ Dandelion Wishes Version

Last month I created a guy version of the Never Ending card for the Ink and Share Blog Hop, click here to see that. I am sharing two versions of the same card, made exactly the same accept one version uses Petal Pink card and the other Blackberry Bliss card.
