Two Tone Flora One Sheet Wonder Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today’s cards are full of techniques – one sheet wonder, two-step stampin’ masking and die cutting. They were created ‘on the hoof’ during a recent You Tube Live I did – I literally did not know how my card was going to turn out when I started but I sure was thrilled at then end by the result!

You can join me every Sunday at 12 noon (CST) 6pm ( GMT) to join in the fun and contribute to the creation of my project for that week!

Tasteful Touches ~ Masking and Watercoloring Video

Welcome back to my corner of the world

We have gone soft and subtle today, the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is just packed full of beautiful visual textures that makes great backgrounds for your cards.  I have paired this with the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, Grey Granite ink and ribbon.

To build on the softness I chose to use a  watercoloring and masking technique to use the beautiful ‘peony’ looking flower and soft and ‘floaty’ sort of leaves in the stamp set along with a greeting that would be about perfect for any occasion.

Winter Woods with a bit of Masking

Welcome back to my corner of the world

The weather here in North Texas can swing from warm to chilly cold at this time of year.  The last couple of days have been chilly cold and remind me very much of the weather in the UK where I was born.  To be honest it is not as cold as it would be this time of year in the UK but after 18 years living in this part of the world I think my blood has thinned down and I feel the cold far more keenly!

So today’s card reminds me a little of the winters back ‘home’ but at the same time it is a very peaceful and restful card using the Winter Woods Stamp Set and a masking/sponging technique.

Rooted in Nature Birthday for a Guy

Last week was my eldest nephew’s birthday, he is now in his early 30’s and lives in the UK –  I find it hard to make cards for the fella’s in my life but the Rooted in Nature stamp set gives me a great choice of ‘suitable for a guy’ images and words without being ‘too sappy’!

I used a masking technique to create the card along with my Sponge Brayer to apply the ink ‘ombre’ style.
