While we have had a very wet May here in North Texas, when the sun comes out it get hot very quickly. Today we have one of those sunny days, perfect for an ice cream cone which featured on my card today.
We have a few more weeks for the January – June 2021 mini catalog where you can find the Ice Cream Corner Suite. By using the appropriate ink colors I have a mint, strawberry and vanilla ice cream stack!
Continue readingAs I explained in my video, Stampin Blends have been available for a few years now, and although I have some of them I have not really explored them very much. When one of my lovely customers asked me a question on them I was unable to give her a good answer and made the decision I was going to teach myself how to use them!
Rather than practice in private – I decided I was going to practice on video, starting with the basics and developing my skills in front of you, my wonderful readers! So this is the first is a series I am planning over the coming weeks – enjoy!
Continue readingHome decor is a particular favorite of mine to create. Once I have my theme, I usually start with some Designer Series Paper, then pull out ribbon, embellishments and card that will go with the papers, then I go to work.
I had a request from my ladies for seasonal 8 x 8 samplers they could display, so we started with summer and will continue with the Fall themed one in August. The starting point for me is the beautiful Hydrangea Hill DSP – which is still available for a few more days, so please get your order in now to avoid disappointment 🙂
Continue readingIt is just over 3 weeks since the new 2021 -2022 Stampin’ UP! Catalog was launched and the new ‘in-colors’ released. Each year Stampin’ UP! introduces 5 colors that are available to us for 2 years, they are very carefully selected to meet current trends and we get ink, card, paper, ribbon and embellishments to coordinate everything together.
I am really rather taken with this years choices and created today’s card to show all 5 colors, with a little of the ribbon and the in-color jewels, along with the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. I did not use a greeting – let the colors and images do all the work.
Continue readingI am not entirely sure what to call the technique used on today’s card, so I have dubbed it a ‘Patchwork’ Technique. I wanted to use the Messages Dies in a different way and when I finished it looked like a patchwork!
The Many Messages Stamp Set with the coordinating Messages Dies are one of the most popular in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog – and I can understand why – it allows you to create multiple greetings in one go, either use them all at once or keep a little stash if you need to quickly create a card.
Continue readingYesterday the new Stampin’ UP! catalog was launched with new papers, inks, stamp sets, ribbons, embellishments and tools. As a demonstrator I get to order products a month before they launch and so if you scroll down a little you will see my first card – using the brand new Elegantly Said Bundle! If you click here it will take you to the link so you can check out the new catalog on line!
Also starting yesterday is a new joining offer, JOIN + as I said one of the perks of being a demonstrator is getting your hands on the new catalog and pre-ording goodies a month before launch – click here to see more details of the offer and benefits of becoming a member of my team.
Continue readingI do love a fun fold and the quicker and easier the better! Today I have used a very simple Z fold and paired Pool Party with Rich Razzleberry, which I think is a great combination.
Today is the last day for the 2020 – 2021 Stampin UP! catalog – although all the products (with the exception of the Classic Label Punch ) I am using today are carrying over you might just have something on your wish list that will be here today but gone tomorrow!
Continue readingThis card was inspired by my Stampin’ UP! mum, Jackie Ross. It uses the Love of Leaves Stamp Set and coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies. It is a great way to use your Designer Series Paper – I just love it and have a tendency to hoard it if I am not careful! You can get 4 pieces from a piece of 6 x 6 paper or 16 from a 12 x 12 piece – so imagine having one design and being able to create a bunch of cards for your stash!
