The line art in the Decorative Borders Stamp set is beautiful and as the set does not have any greetings it is easy to pair up with another set which has a variety of different greetings to make this into a ‘feel better soon’, thank you, retirement or even a birthday card. Today I have used the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set for my greeting.

Today’s card showcases the Sentimental Park Stamp set with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders; using one of the sentiments from the stamp set to make this into a ‘Thinking of You’ Card.
Continue readingThere are different ways to use our inks, stamping images and greetings is one way, but there is also using masks (stencils) along with Blending Brushes to create a very soft image. I have gone to my favorite Go To Greetings Stamp Set for my message and chosen to use the thank you stamp however you could choose one of the other greetings to create a birthday, thinking of you or just a note ~ the card design will work for all of them.
Continue readingOnce again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. . As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024
I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
So today I share, a cute Lady Bird a perfect choice for mid-spring.

We are well into spring now so I have chosen to use Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz for my card colors today. The Around the Bend Stamp Set and coordinating Die set have flowers and leaves that look like daisies, which remind me of late spring when the grass is starting to grow along with the little daisies showing the dainty faces to the sun.

Continue readingYou all know that I love the decorative paper packs, I find them inspirational especially when it comes to color combinations. Last November I was able to go to an all day Stampin’ UP! event in Arlington TX, there I was gifted an pack of Like an Animal decorative paper – which has all animal prints. To be honest it is not something I would choose to have but I put on my thinking cap and came up with a simple design featuring the paper with some lovely Polished Pink card and ribbon (soon to retire)
Continue readingI don’t think to use white ink at all, so when I was seeking inspiration for a color combo for my recent card buffet my eye fell on the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad which I paired up with Night of Navy and the Uniquely Artistic Stamp Set – I just loved the sort of monochrome ‘smoky’ effect it gave especially with the outline stamps in the set.
