Today I have a card that uses a background stamp as a focal point. Something Lacy is in the Occasions mini catalog (and about to retire on June 2nd) which I heat embossed with Blushing Bride Embossing Powder.
This card would work for a birthday, thank you or achievement of a goal.
Card base is Blackberry Bliss cut 8 1/2 x 5/12, scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla
Layer 2: 4 x 3 Blackberry Bliss
Layer 3: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Very Vanilla layer
Insert: 5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla
The Sahara Sand lace trim was attached to Layer 1 with glue dots and the cut ends tucked to the back before attaching to base card with snail adhesive.
The small piece of vanilla was first stamped using the Something Lacy stamp and Versamark before sprinkling with the Blushing Bride embossing powder and set with the Heat Tool. This was then attached to Layer 3 with snail adhesive then attached to base card with 4 – 5 stampin dimensionals.
With darker card bases I usually add a layer inside the card so there is something to write on so this card had Very Vanilla insert attached with some snail adhesive.
The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and used Sahara Sand ink before being punched with the extra large oval and a Blushing Bride candy dot added.
A final sprinkling of pearls and the card is complete. I hope you enjoyed this card, please let me know your thoughts below……..

That’s a lovely card.
