The Jar of Love Stamp set is one I have in my stash for a number of months – it just did not get to the top of my pile of stamps sets until the other day – as I took a close look I realized that it has such a lot of different themes and jars are very much in vogue at the moment – the other draw is it has the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits – making everything so easy to cut out!
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic Black Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 Whisper White Card
Layer 2: 4 x 3 Real Red Card
Ink Colors: Basic Black Archival Ink, Old Olive , Smoky Slate + Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Marker
The jar was stamped on Whisper White card with Basic Black ink, then the leafy stem added and thirdly the fireflies . I used the Everyday Jars framelits to cut the jar and the little lid after I stamped it in Smoky Slate ink.
Everything was adhered to the card with Snail Adhesive with the exception of the lid which used the mini dimensionals.
The ‘glow’ was added by using a little Daffodil Delight ink from a stampin marker then added with a blender pen – this gives a nice, soft glow around the fireflies ~ I could not resist just adding a tiny blob of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to their little bodies.
If you don’t have the marker pens just use a little ink from your ink pad.
I think I will be pulling this stamp set and framelits out again – it is such a lot of fun!
