Ooppss………………. I did it again! A new baby arrived in the neighborhood and I STILL don’t have any new baby stamp sets! So once again I have improvised and found a couple of really cute images in the Good Day stamp set that fit the occasion perfectly….. and coupled with the Balloon Bouquet punch I feel happy with the result.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Soft Sky card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Marina Mist Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card
Banner: 2 1/2 x 1 Whisper White ~ I hand trimmed the banner with paper snips
Ink Colors: Marina Mist and Soft Sky
The greeting comes from the Happy Happenings Stamp Set, which is a good one to have in your stash since it covers a lot of different occasions (you might want to go ahead and buy this one soon as it is due to retire at then end of May……… follow the link below!)
There is quite a bit of sponging on this card – first I sponged a patch on the Whisper White layer before attaching the Starburst circle – with the edges sponged. All edges of the balloons as well as the banner and edge of layer 2 were also sponged with Soft Sky ink to soften everything and make it a little more ‘baby-like’
Short lengths of Whisper White Bakers Twine were attached to the back of the balloons with glue dots and the balloons and banner then attached with mini stampin dimensionals.
