A couple of weeks ago I posted a card using a color combination that seemed unlikely but simply presented itself (check here) – well it happen again when tidying up my workbench………… Terracotta Tile paired with Grapefruit Grove – a couple of scraps I was putting away that suddenly said…. ‘just a minute’.…. there is something going on here!
So I went with it – putting a Very Vanilla Card layer in between to give it a little more definition. During my clean up I also came across a couple of flowers stamped and punched with the Floral Essence Stamp set – so it was just a case of pulling it all together.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Terracotta Tile Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 4 7/8 x 3 1/2 Very Vanilla Card
Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 3/8 Grapefruit Grove Card run thru the Big Shot with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder
Banner: 2 1/2 x 1/2 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Color: Terracotta Tile and Crumb Cake
I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to attach layers 1 and 2 then wound a length of Linen Thread before attaching it to my base card with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals. The flowers are stamped onto the So Saffron Perennial Essence Vellum Card Stock cut with the Perennial Flower Punch. Layered together with a Mini Glue Dot and a set of leaves cut from Silver Foil Sheet with the Leaf Punch then attached with a Stampin Dimensional ~ finished with a trio of Pearl Basic Jewels.
Well those colors might not have naturally teamed up , I’m glad I listened to them – I think they worked rather well together – don’t you?
