welcome back to my corner of the world.
Today’s card is one my ladies made in a recent Card Buffet – I get a lot of requests for ‘Get Well’, Sympathy and the like so I figure that ‘Thinking of You’ covers all those bases! The Rooted in Nature stamp set is one I go to a lot – mainly because I just love that little cluster leaves stamp, and my colors are quite muted and not too jazzy so I think it would make a great guy card with a little change in the greeting.

Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Crumb Cake Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 Very Vanilla Card
Layer 2: 4 x 3 Pool Party Card
Ink Colors: Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Expresso
I have used the ‘tone on tone’ stamping technique for randomly stamping the leaves on the base card and trees on the Pool Party layer – click here for more info on this technique.
After wrapping some Whisper White Bakers Twine around this Pool Party/ Very Vanilla panel it is attached to the card base with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals.
The greeting is stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla Card after the ‘tree slice’ then fussy cut with Paper Snips before attaching to the card with 2 – 3 Stampin Dimensionals.
A very straightforward card #simplestamping ~ ….. and YES I do think if I changed out the greeting it would make a perfect card for a fella ~ dont’ you?
