welcome back to my corner of the world.
I think it is safe to say that autumn has finally arrived in North Texas, we had a cold front come thru late last Tuesday which plummeted our daytime temp from mid 90’s down to the mid 40’s! and we had 1/2 of rain!
Today’s card features a quintessential symbol of autumn – the pumpkin, the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set has a coordinating Apple Builder Punch which is just perfect for creating pumpkins. I chose to use the ‘Hey There Pumpkin’ greeting – there are several in the set to choose from although I feel ‘Hey there…’ would be great for a birthday card, maybe a ‘just because’ card.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Early Expresso Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 3 x 3 Pumpkin Pie Card
Layer 2: 3 x 3 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Colors: Early Expresso
The pumpkin on the card was stamped on a scrap of Mango Melody, the stem and leaf cut from a scrap of Garden Green card, then attached to the card with a couple of Stampin Dimensionals. A cute little bow made from Linen Thread adds a little bit more texture! click here to see how I tie my bows
The 3D pumpkin was made by stamping the pumpkin stamp 5 times on a piece of Pumpkin Pie Card, then cut with the Apple Builder Punch. Each one was then folded in half then each half was adhered to the next one with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive until the 1/2 the last pumpkin is attached to the last half of the first pumpkin.
