I have a real love of flowers, my dear Mum and dear Aunt both had ‘green’ thumbs, were enthusiastic gardeners  and had beautiful gardens.  The green thumb skipped a generation – I enjoy the garden when it is blooming but am certainly NOT an enthusiastic gardener, I am inspired by their example  because I love the result – not the doing!

We have the power to inspire people just as they inspire us so creating today’s  card was easy with the beautiful  Inspiring Iris Stamp Set.

Card base:  11 x 4 1/4 Rich Razzleberry Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1:  5 1/4 x 4 Blushing Bride Card ~ run thru the cutting/embossing machine with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder

Layer 2: 4 1/2 x 3 Rich Razzleberry Card

Layer 3: 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 Very Vanilla Card

Ink Colors: Memento Tuxedo Black, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz

If you have not tried the Old World Paper Embossing Folder you need to add it to your order – it has such a great texture.  Check out another example here!

Inspiring Iris is a photopolymer stamp set, so by stamping the flower outline first in Memento Tuxedo Black then lining up the ‘filler’ stamp for coloring the flowers and leaves is easy because you can see straight through the stamp!

The greeting is from the same stamp set, cut with 1 1/2 circle punch then a little bit of sponging with Stampin Sponges and some Pear Pizzazz ink.  A trio of Basic Pearl Jewels  and you have a perfect birthday or thank you card.
