Ink . Stamp . Share Blog Hop – July Showcase

Welcome to my corner of the World

Once again  I am thrilled to be taking part  in the Ink . Stamp . Share blog hop.  We are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity!

You will have either arrived from Laura’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . We do not have a theme, but each of the talented artisans showcase what they are working on at this time each month. There will be techniques, fancy folds, 3D, new products and ideas – a veritable treasure chest for you to draw on every month.

I have been revisiting slimline cards again – they are so elegant and gives you more space to build up your design. This card was made for the 40th anniversary of some dear friends. 40 years is the Ruby Anniversary, hence the Cherry Cobbler Card and Real Red Rhinestones.

Card Base: 8 1/2 x 7 1/4 Thick Very Vanilla Card ~ scored @ 3 5/8

Layer 1: 8 1/4 x 3 1/4 Cherry Cobbler Card

Layer 2: 8 1/4 x 3 Vellum Card

Ink Color : Cherry Cobbler

When designing the card I wanted to use the Cherry Cobbler card layer but thought it a little too vibrant for the soft and elegant look I was going for, so adding a layer of Vellum Card toned down the color and gave a great background for my elements cut with the Artistic Dies and Very Vanilla Card. These pieces were attached with the tiniest dots of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The greeting is from the Many Mates Stamp Set (now sadly retired) cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies then attached with a couple of Stampin Dimensionals.
