Today I bring you a card where decorative paper takes center stage, some ‘tone-on-tone’ stamping and a little ribbon! I have used the Cottage Rose Stamp set to make this into a ‘Get Well’ card, although I think the layout and colors would work equally as well for a birthday, thank you or a ‘just because’ kind of card.

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Smoky Slate Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 Balmy Blue Card
• Layer 2: 5 x 3 Awash in Beauty Decorative Paper
• Ink Color: Smoky Slate

A little tone-on-tone stamping on the card base (click here to learn more about this technique) After attaching the decorative paper to the Balmy Blue card with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I attached a length of Balmy Blue and White Double Stitched Ribbon around the card before attaching it to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals.

My greeting is cut using the Beautiful Shapes Dies then added the cute little flower using the Flowers and Leaves Punch, topping everything off with a Pearl Basic Jewel. I think it turned out really well, let me know what you think below 🙂
