Sending Smiles Simple Fancy Fold Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

My color combination for today’s card was inspired by a flower arrangement in the hotel lobby where we stayed for a wedding in Calistoga CA last spring! I saw it and immediately thought So Saffron, Garden Green and some deep Blackberry Bliss roses. I jotted it down in my notebook and finally got around to using it with the Sending Smiles stamp set.

Base Card: 5 3/4 x 5 1/5 So Saffron Card ~ scored @ 1 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 1 1/4 Basic White Card ~ run thru the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder
Layer 2: 4 1/4 x 3 Blackberry Bliss Card
Layer 3: 4 x 2 3/4 So Saffron Card
Layer 4: 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card
Ink Color: Blackberry Bliss and Garden Green

For this fun fold I took a standard 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base and chopped off 2 3/4 off one side – I then trimmed it to create the layer on the front. I stamped my greeting inside the card, choosing ‘A Card to say Hello’ from the same Sending Smiles stamp set which is perfect for an any occasion card.
