A few months ago, one of the ladies who comes to my in-person classes asked about making cards using Quilt Blocks – I am always up for a challenge and love it when someone requests a technique or a fun fold. I made and shared the Log Cabin block in my You Tube live and had such fun I made two more a while later on another You Tube live. Check out the Pinwheel and Shoefly blocks below.

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic White Thick Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 Parakeet Party or Azure Afternoon Card
• Layer 2: 3 x 3 Basic White Card ~ to build the quilt block on
• Ink Color: Parakeet Party or Azure Afternoon

Once my quilt block was complete I ran it thru the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder – it made it so much more realistic and endures all the little pieces are firmly attached! A few Basic Rhinestone Jewels to finishes everything off.
