Scrap Busting Birthday Card ~ Embossing Folder Technique # 6

Welcome to my Corner of the World

As explained in the video – I had some scraps on my bench – normally I would throw them away but the more I looked at them the more they were calling me to do a little something. As I switched off the camera I realised this is another embossing folder technique – a very simple one ……………. but none the less a technique 🙂

I have used a birthday greeting on this one – but I think it will work equally as well for a Thank You, Thinking of You, Get Well, Congratulations………. You could also change out the colours for a masculine themed card as well ~ whatever you need a card for and whatever stamps and papers you have in your stash !

  • Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Thick White Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
  • Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 White Card ~ trimmed down to 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 after paper strips added
  • Paper Strips: 2 1/2 x 1 ~ any decorative paper in your stash!!!
  • Ink Color: Versamark & Silver Embossing Powder

Check out the video to see how everything goes together:

Supplies:

  • Card, Ribbon, Embellishments & Adhesive Sheet ~ Stampin’ UP!
  • From my Stash – lost the cover so no idea the name of it 🙂

Please note that I am not endorsing any particular products nor am I being compensated for using them. I am sharing an idea and hope that you will be able to use products from your own stash to create a similar card 🙂
