It has been a few days since I last posted, there has been a lot going on in that time, we completed the purchase of our new home on the 7th, I had a BIG birthday and then the first of my craft fairs for this holiday season.

18 months ago we had a neighborhood block party and 5 ladies found a mutual love of crafts and we decided to get together around my dining room table once a month to make some cards and other 3D items and just visit with one another.
A few weeks ago I shared a my Hand Sanitizer gift boxes for my craft fairs, which had been decorated for Thanksgiving. I promised to share some of the other items I am making for sale. These decorated boxes contain a small bottle of hand santizer decorated for the Christmas holidays. It makes just a small token to give to someone to say that you have thought about them. When I packed up our house in June and July my last thought was about the upcoming holidays. I usually decorate for the autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, suddenly September arrived and all my holiday decorations were in deep storage, now it is October and my decorations are still in storage…….. something had to be done………..!

One of the new products recently introduced by Stampin’ Up! is the Gift Box Punch Board. It was launched at the annual convention in July and I was able to buy one there. Sad to say I was not able to get to play with it for about 6 weeks, partly due to having packed up and sell our house and moving into temporary accommodation while our new house is being built! Last Saturday was World Card Making Day, I held an Open House to celebrate this wonderful craft. We did some Make and Takes, lots of snacks and spend some wonderful time sitting and visiting. Here are the three projects we made…….
It is about a month since the new Holiday Catalog was released and I have spent some very happy hours using some of the new products Stampin’ Up! has introduced. I am planning to share some of my projects with you over the coming weeks. So here is the first of many (hopefully 🙂 )
Now that Labor Day has passed and we officially entered ‘Fall’ on Monday evening, I figure it is safe to start talking about the upcoming Holiday season!

My sweet friend Rose has been making soap and I was lucky enough to be given one of the first bars. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make a gift box for it and that I would give the ‘recipe’ to her along with a sample so she could make some for future gift-giving.
