Soft Sayings Card Kit

I usually share cards that I have created from scratch, but there are times I need a card quickly and no time to work thru a design, choose my colors and embellishments – so that is where an all inclusive card kit comes in so very handy.

The Soft Sayings Kit contains the supplies for 20 cards ~ 2 each of 10 designs, an exclusive stamp set, clear block for those stamps and an ink spot for stamping your cards.  I have made one of each size to share with you but will leave making up the others until I need them and choose the greeting to meet the need at the time.

This kit would also make a great gift for a friend or family member who would like some handmade cards to send but may not have the room to be able to create from scratch, and the kit come ready gift packaged in its own decorated box!

Rooted in Nature Waterfall Card & Video Tutorial

At the end of October I shared a Halloween card we made in my monthly card class using the Waterfall Fold and promised to share a video – today I make good on that promise.

Plus I am doubling up and making it a guy card as well!  I figure the fellas in my life would get a kick out of the mechanism that makes the waterfall work!

Once again I have fallen back on the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set – it is just so perfect for the fellas but I need to think of a way to make a more feminine card with it ~ well that has set me a challenge hasn’t it?

Pop of Petals with Vellum and Wink of Stella Technique

I have been using Vellum Card quite a bit in my projects recently and I wanted to show how it can be stamped on and used as an embellishment as well as a layer.  As so often happens when I am creating I ‘lost’ something on my workbench (of course it was right under my nose!) but I spent a few minutes searching for it and came across my ‘Wink of Stella‘ ~ now that is something that I have not used for some time.

Along with the Pop of Petals Stamp set, I used both of these beauties to create today’s card.  If you scroll down a little way you will also see the video showing how I used the Wink of Stella on the Vellum.

Hello ~ Accented Blooms

Summer is well and truly with us here in North Texas – we are forecast for 100F+ for the next 10 days.  My garden is looking a little parched despite the fact I am out watering at 7am every day!

One thing that will not fade away in the heat is the lovely flowers that are part of the Accented Blooms Stamp Set.  I have used So Saffron, Pool Party, Powder Pink and Pear Pizzazz to watercolor my flowers and they are still as vibrant as the day I painted them.

Oh………… I have a new color combination that I have fallen in love with………….  Soft Sea Foam and Gray Granite, both are new members of the SU color family and they go together so very well.

I have a number of wedding anniversaries on the horizon and wanted to make some cards ready to send,  I also wanted to use one of the new bundles that was on the first order I placed after the new catalog went live on June 1st – Pop of Petals – a stamp set of the same name and the Four Petal Flower Punch.

Sweet and Simple Serene Garden with Spotlight Technique

Earlier this week I had my 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalog launch, each person got their own personal copy of the new catalog, we had a scavenger hunt,  a drool over some of the new products I was able to pre-order, snacks and some ‘make and takes’

One  of the make and takes was this card using a new stamp set, Serene Garden and one of the new card colors, Merry Merlot, plus some Stampin Blends pens – which will be available in the coming weeks.

Best Friends ~ Happy Wishes

Today I am sharing another card made with one of the Sale-a-bration Stamp Sets, this time I have chosen Happy Wishes.

This is a super bumper set with 16 stamps that allow you to build up practically any greeting you might need ~ birthday, anniversary, best wishes, be happy, for you…. just so versatile.  I also chose to use one of the Sale-a-bration ribbons and an embossing folder from the new 2018 Occasions Catalog.
