It was such a lot of fun that I decided to make a Valentine version featuring the Country Bouquet Stamp Set and coordinating Country Bouquet Punch to show that a cracker is not just for Christmas!

Continue readingI can hardly believe we are in the last full week of January….. already! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so it is time to rustle up some cards to share with friends and loved ones.
My fold today, is one I call a Lazy Z fold – basically because the front of the card is folded back on itself giving a lopsided Z shape, but lop-sided does not sound as good a lazy – so hence its name 🙂
Continue readingToday I have a cute desk top calendar to share – and it will fit in a regular envelope for posting!!! I have used a mixture of products from the new 2023 Jan – April Mini Catalog and the Annual Catalog. I think sometimes I get so caught up in the new goodies that I can overlook the ones already in my stash. So Tea Boutique decorative paper and Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set are from the Annual Catalog and the Petal Park Bundle is from the new mini!

With all the Christmas goodies I had, I kinda ran out of time to share this particular bundle before the end of 2022. Today I have used it to showcase 2 watercolor techniques on a fancy easel fold!

Fun folds are one of my favorite types of card to make, I love the challenge and the sense of satisfaction when it is complete, often times the most complex looking of cards are a lot more straightforward to do than they look and that is the beauty of them!

Once again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. . As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024
I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
So today I share, a Happy New Year Penguin with a simple fun fold for the card!

My card today has taken some double sided decorative paper and created a twisted ribbon effect, it was a lot of fun to do and remarkably easy – things usually are when you know to do them. So in today’s card and video I share how I do this technique, showcasing one of the new decorative papers that will be available on January 5th when the new 2023 Jan – May mini catalog goes LIVE! 🙂
