Continue readingI was a bit taken aback when I came up with today’s color combination ~ Real Red and Coastal Cabana ~ I saw some scraps that had fallen on the floor and decided I was going to go for it!! Very striking and I think it works!
As the colors are so striking I decided to keep the card itself very simple, just using a very simple fun gatefold.

Continue readingA change of theme for today – with Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon we are going to need some thank you cards. I chose to feature the Seashells 3D embossing folder, just adding a simple greeting so the details of this embossing folder do not get lost. I am thinking this would make a really good masculine thank you card…….. change out the greeting and it would be a perfect masculine birthday card as well!!
Continue readingI have used the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set a lot, I love the different images and it has some pretty greetings as well. I like to think out of the box for my color combinations, sometimes it is inspired by ribbon, decorative paper or scraps I find on my work station that just ‘look’ interesting and appealing. So that is how the Misty Moonlight and Mint Macaron used today came into being – scraps waiting to be tidied away 🙂

I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! Oh … and there is a video tutorial to go with it 🙂

Each time a new catalog is launched I look at Punches, Ribbon and then the DSP before anything else. Now you may be wondering what I mean by DSP………. basically it is double-sided decorated paper similar to that used for scrapbook layouts – and I have used it for this but it also works to decorate your handmade greeting cards.
