Rooted in Nature Birthday for a Guy

Last week was my eldest nephew’s birthday, he is now in his early 30’s and lives in the UK –  I find it hard to make cards for the fella’s in my life but the Rooted in Nature stamp set gives me a great choice of ‘suitable for a guy’ images and words without being ‘too sappy’!

I used a masking technique to create the card along with my Sponge Brayer to apply the ink ‘ombre’ style.

Using 6 x 6 DSP with Springtime Impressions Thinlets

I cannot resist Designer Series Paper – it is almost always the top of my wish list when a new catalog is released.  I used to be reluctant to cut into a sheet and found I had become a  DSP hoarder!   I set myself a personal challenge a couple of years ago to use the paper and have shared many of the projects with you my readers…….. my accountability partners!

In July I hosted a DSP share, each participant getting a 6 x 6 piece of all the DSP’s in the 2018 -2019 Annual Catalog – plenty to create some beautiful projects – today’s card uses half of a 6 x 6 sheet of Garden  Impressions DSP and is the main decoration.
