In-Color and Love What You Do

Happy First Day of Summer!

We are now 3 weeks into the new catalog and the new 2018 -2020 In-colors – these are a group of 5 trendy colors that are available for 2 years that coordinate with the core color families.

Most of my lovely customers will have seen the samples I made to showcase each of the new colors along with the scrummy coordinating ribbons, each card was made the same, just swapping around the colors.

I used the beautiful Love What You Do stamp set to help  me making my samples – it has a lovely watercolor type ‘splodge’ which makes a great background to the flower and greeting.

Introducing Mango Melody and Lovely Floral Embossing Folder

Oh my gosh…………… it is very nearly 3 weeks since the 2018 – 2019 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog went live!!!

I have shared a number of projects using some of the new products in the catalog – and today is going to be no different.

As you may know, being a demonstrator allows me to have early access to some of the products and one of those was the delicious Share What You Love suite – which included a brand new embossing folder, Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder –  mouthful to say, I know, but oh so very pretty.

I have paired this with the Love What You Do stamp set and one of the new core colors, Mango Melody. Continue reading

Gift Wrapped Stickynote Page Flags ~ Video

I bet the title of this post threw you  a little, but it was hard to find something that was descriptive!  At the beginning of June I held my launch party for the 2018 – 2019 annual catalog.  I have new product for my dear customers to ooo and aahh over as well as some make and takes but I also like to make a little gift for each as a thank you for coming as well as shopping with me over the year!

This year I found some packets of sticky-note page flags which seemed to me to be absolutely perfect for marking up their new catalog with the goodies that caught their eye!

Graceful Glass ~ Vellum and Stampin’ Blends

Today’s card shows a number of products from the new Graceful Glass Suite.  The is a perfect suite if you love to color because it has a boatload of images in the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum pack and coupled with some of the Stampin’ Blends you can color to your hearts content.

The focal part of my card is made from one half  of one of the sheets in the pack – so you can get 2 cards out of this design.  A couple of the new In-Color cards and some of the black 1/8 cord complete the card.  The greeting is from the Painted Glass Stamp Set – which has a selection of greetings for most occasions, Thank You, Birthday, Sympathy and Celebrate.

Nature’s Poem Suite – Stampin’ UP!

Nature’s Poem Suite ~ what a lovely name for this suite of products which have lots of natural images of trees, leaves and soft mellow colors which include Soft Suede and Cajun Craze, perfect for the autumn (although to be honest I really don’t want to think about that just yet!)

Today’s card features the Rooted in Nature stamp set and the coordinating Nature’s Root Framelit dies – I am thinking this would make a really good guy card.

Sweet and Simple Serene Garden with Spotlight Technique

Earlier this week I had my 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalog launch, each person got their own personal copy of the new catalog, we had a scavenger hunt,  a drool over some of the new products I was able to pre-order, snacks and some ‘make and takes’

One  of the make and takes was this card using a new stamp set, Serene Garden and one of the new card colors, Merry Merlot, plus some Stampin Blends pens – which will be available in the coming weeks.

Multi-layered Cards ~ Petal Garden DSP

These are the last of the multilayered cards I made last month as thank you cards for my lovely customers – and wouldn’t you know this paper retired just last week! but I want to share them anyway as the technique will work for any of the new DSP packs in the 2018 – 2019 annual catalog.

The design is inspired by an idea from the UK demonstrator Pootles and it appealed to me very much – but instead of cutting up my DSP I used the scraps that were left over from previous projects. As a result I made about 2 dozen cards in total and although they followed the same formula every single one is different.

I set myself a couple of rules, the layering pieces of card must be the same color as the card base and each card needed to have 3 pieces of DSP.

Sweet & Simple ~ Beautiful You

Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!

Last week our daughter-in-law celebrated a birthday, she lives in the UK with her family so we don’t get to see her too often.  Since last week was spring break for the schools in the UK, she, our son and their daughters went on holiday to one of the islands off the coast of Spain – making a really lovely birthday treat!

The stamp set is Beautiful You – I have had this in my stash for some time  but this is the first time I have used it, it has three images of women and a number of greetings and is perfect for this occasion. Continue reading
