I cannot tell you how much I love the Painted Harvest Stamp set – I find my hand hovering over it when starting a card, I have forced myself to give the other, equally beautiful, stamp sets a chance to star but today I gave in and picked Painted Harvest to create another Eclipse Card, using the rich palatte of purples in Stampin’ UP!’s color family.

Colorful Seasons Calendar ~ Part 4
I have a small, but precious team of Stampin’ UP! demonstrators and each Christmas I like to make them a gift . This year I decided to make a ‘Flip-over’ calendar for each of them using the Tolsby picture frame from IKEA. After I finished each of the months I realized that the design could equally be used as a card front, so each can do double duty!
Today I am sharing the last 3 months. You can catch up with Jan thru March here, April thru June here and July thru September here.
After I completed the calendar many of my ladies admired it – so later this year we will be doing a class to make the calendar for 2019. Continue reading
Sweet Soiree Treat Box
Gosh ~ have I got some real ‘pretties’ to share with you today…………….. today’s project is made using the some of the products from the Sweet Soiree suite from the 2018 Occasions catalog. If you follow my blog you will know that I love to make 3D items, especially treat boxes, well Stampin’ UP! has made it really easy with this Suite.
Embossing Paste Technique # 3 ~ Ombre Effect video tutorial

Sweet and Simple ~ Picture Perfect Birthday # 2
Two weeks ago I became a statistic………… coming down with the flu which I have never had before! I spent 5 days in bed (never done that before either) another 3 days feeling as weak as a kitten – even had to sit down for a rest after taking a shower! and now left with an irritating cough, but at least I am able to think straight now.
Occasionally I will write my posts in advance, particularly if I know I am going to be away for a few days but I really much prefer to write them either the day of or day before posting – it is much fresher and I feel more connected with you all that way. But since I did not know I was going to fall sick, I was not able to ‘prepare’ ~ so I have fallen behind. Continue reading

Dramatic Painted Harvest ~ Thank you
I just love the card I am sharing today – well I love all the cards I make, share and send but the one today just shouts out at me, it has everything I love to put on a card, layers, bling, ribbon and finally that it uses the Painted Harvest Stamp set carried over from the 2017 Holiday Catalog, I have used this stamp set in all sorts of ways, with all sorts of color combinations but today I am using dramatic black and white with just a smidge of grey. Happy Birthday – Guy Card
I am not terribly good at doing cards for the fellas in my life, so I tend to trawl the internet to seek inspiration to use the products I have in my stash.
This one makes good use of another of the 6 x 6 paper stacks, some of you might remember the challenge I gave myself a year to 18 months ago to use my Designer Series Papers instead of hoarding them! Continue reading
Sweet and Simple ~ Picture Perfect Birthday
I have set myself a little challenge ~ to make a card every week to 10 days, using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal. Then you find the basics such as stock, herbs and spices etc are ‘pantry’ items and it turns out that the meal was made with a whole host of ‘hidden’ stuff we did not know about.
So the ‘pantry items’ for my challenge are going to be, adhesive, Stampin Trimmer, Bone folder and Paper-Piercing tool. I am going to attempt to create with 1 stamp set and some ink pads, 1 embellishment (other than paper or card) and one additional tool, probably a punch. Wish me luck! Continue reading
