Welcome to my Corner of the World
Today I am sharing a card as part of a challenge. The inspiration is a card sketch, which is always very handy if you are struggling for a starting point in your card creations. I have kept the card very simple just using Stamps, Ink and Paper with a little ribbon and some embellishments. The only piece of equipment is my paper trimmer/scorer, so you could make it with the minimum of supplies by checking out the video below.
Here is the sketch we have for inspiration:

Here is my take:

- Base Card: 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 Summer Splash Card ~ scored @ 4 1/8
- Layer 1: 5 5/8 x 4 Basic White Card
- Black Squares: 6 pieces 1 3/8 x 1 3/8
- Greeny Blue Squares: 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 Summer Splash Card
- White Squares: 1 1/8 x 11/8 White Card
- Inside Layer: 5 5/8 x 4 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Nocturne Black
You can use the same measurements for the layering squares even if you are using a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base you will just need to work out the placement so it looks balanced.
Check out the video to see how everything goes together
Little sideways view with the decorated envelope 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the card and video I shared with you today, I love what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and much more. Don’t forget to be a subscriber on the blog by clicking the blue follow button on the top right and my You Tube Channel so that you get all the projects.
Please note that I am not endorsing any particular products nor am I being compensated for using them. I am sharing an idea and hope that you will be able to use products from your own stash to create a similar card 🙂 As I have now retired as a Stampin Up Demonstrator I will know longer be sharing links to the supplies, however there are lots of wonderful demonstrators around the world who would be glad to help you with finding them. 🙂
