Time for Tea with Daffodil Delight ~ Stampin’ UP!

The Tea Room Suite on page 15 of the 2018 -2019 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog plays right into my soft spot…………  I am a tea drinker, preferably made in a pot using loose leaves and with milk – not lemon and  no sugar.  I will compromise and use a tea bag as long as it is Orange Pekoe or Assam but am not taken with some of the fancy ones out there like licorice, peppermint, beet!

So back to the  Tea Room Suite – my card today uses 4 of the goodies, the Time for Tea Stamp Set, the coordinating Spot of Tea Framelit Dies, the DSP and Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack,  I just cannot resist the little die that cuts out the teacup and saucer!

Artistically Asian Anniversary

Last week I shared an anniversary card and that I have a number of anniversaries this time of year, brother, niece and long time friend.  The Artistically Asian  stamp set has been in the catalog for a couple of years now but I have not used it as much as it deserves.  I also dipped into the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set for my greeting (if you don’t have this one consider adding it to your next order – it is a great one to have in your stash)

My card colors are Tranquil Tide and Coastal Cabana, I tripped over this combination when designing a card for my June Card Class and have used it again today.

Pop of Petals – making the stamp set and punch work together video.

Oh………… I have a new color combination that I have fallen in love with………….  Soft Sea Foam and Gray Granite, both are new members of the SU color family and they go together so very well.

I have a number of wedding anniversaries on the horizon and wanted to make some cards ready to send,  I also wanted to use one of the new bundles that was on the first order I placed after the new catalog went live on June 1st – Pop of Petals – a stamp set of the same name and the Four Petal Flower Punch.

A Touch of Vintage ~ Graceful Garden

In 2006 our Best Man got married himself.  The wedding was held in a Scottish Castle which had its own private chapel where the service was held.  All the guests and the Groom gathered in the gardens and we were led to the chapel by a piper in full Scottish dress.  The bride arrived with her own piper a few  moments later.   I just love the bagpipes (not to everyones’ taste I know) but  Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and I do!

It was a memorable day and each year I send them a card to commemorate their lovely day, this year I chose a rose from the Graceful Garden Stamp Set and the greeting is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.

Sweet Soiree Embellishments # 3

Just cannot keep my hands of this beautiful embellishment kit from the 2018 Occasions Catalog!  This time I made a very pretty, gentle card using the vellum, laser-cut pieces along with the Washi Tape from the Embellishment Kit.

This card also serves as a fond farewell to the ‘soon-to-be-retiring Marina Mist ink and paper  as well as the 1/8 silver ribbon.

I can see this as an anniversary , graduation as well as a birthday card.

Once again, I have also used the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper. Continue reading

Collar Fold Card – Video Tutorial

I have two cards and one video tutorial to share with you today.  I love this Collar Fold, it gives me a chance to showcase our Designer Series Paper and also to show both sides of the same piece.  Each card using the same fold but in two different colors, both would be perfect for a birthday or thank you card, although my pink version was designed as a Valentine it would make a great anniversary card as well.

I used a number of goodies from the  2018 Occasions Catalog ~  the greetings from the Southern Serenade Stamp Set, Petal Pair Embossing Folders, Whisper White Organza Ribbon and Petal Passions Embellishments. Continue reading

Beautiful Bouquet and Petal Garden Congratulations

The Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set is my ‘go to’ set, I love the flowers and the set has a ‘bunch’ of lovely greetings in a beautiful cursive script.  The fact that there is a coordinating set of framelit dies just adds to the usefulness of this set.

Sometimes I am a little stumped at which colors to use, Stampin’ UP! has 50 to choose from (I know black and white are not technically colors – but when you are ‘crafty’…….. well they can be colors!)  Turning to the Designer Series Paper section of the annual catalog gives lots of inspiration and heaps of choices.

Beautiful Bouquet meets Petal Garden Card ~ Stampin’ UP!

Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack  is my particular favorite at the moment.  It has colors mixed together, that on the face of it, you would not normally put together ~ Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Sweet Sugarplum, Pool Party and Old Olive – all of them beautiful colors on their own but when combined in this paper, it is just stunning.

I am currently hosting a DSP share and one of my ladies looked at the papers in this stack and asked what she could do with the ones that just had  pattern in the corner, so I did a little research and came up with an idea for her. Continue reading
