I look at the calendar and realize we are in the second half of August and autumn is on the doorstep! The 2021 Holiday Mini Catalog has some super autumn themed products and colors and one of the choices on my wish list was the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle with the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set and coordinating Detailed Pumpkins dies.

Todays card showcases this bundle paired with the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, I also broke out my Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Blends to do a little coloring.

Cute Turtle Friends Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Looking back over my last few posts I see a lot of floral cards – I admit flowers are one of my weaknesses and I am so drawn to stamp sets and decorative paper with them on, so today I am going in another direction by turning to turtles!

The Turtle Friends Bundle is beyond cute, made up from the Turtle Friends Stamp Set with the coordinating Turtle Punch. I bought it with children’s cards in mind but I think it will work for any ‘young at heart’ adult!

I had no problem with combining the first two colors but I have to admit that Garden Green is not my favorite green in the Stampin’ UP! family, so that was the challenge for me, I chose to make it my ‘minor’ color.

Each time a new Stampin’ UP! catalog is issued I go thru it to see all the new goodies, each time I think I have seen everything that is available and then I start to discover things I missed! One of those is the focus of today’s card – tucked away on page 165 is a metal plate which really does not seem much – until you run it thru your Cut and Emboss Machine with a piece of card – and there it is ……. a beautiful, delicate pattern of little stitched leaves,

In the past I have shared that I love Designer Series Paper (DSP), I have also admitted that I tend to be a bit of a hoarder, always thinking that I will have the perfect project for that ‘some day’ so would save it for another day! I am trying to mend my ways and have been using it more and more!

I shared a card on Wednesday which featured DSP and to prove I am reforming I have another to share today, featuring the ‘In Good Taste’ DSP ~ which has a variety of wood and tile effect prints that make perfect backgrounds as well as focal points.

Biggest Wish Super Simple Guy Card

I am really taken with the Biggest Wish Stamp Set ~ I love that I can create nice, big greetings for my cards, this is especially true for today’s card as I made it for my nephew so that is not ‘over the top’ as he is not into fancy!

I chose to use some decorative paper with checks and pull the checks thru the card by using one of the new embossing folders. This is a very quick and simple card to make you could use the same sketch, changing out the decorative paper and card colors to create a card for any occasion.

I say this when the 1st of every month comes around…………. I cannot believe we are over half way thru 2021 !!!! I am glad to say that this year has gone a lot better than 2020 as things are opening up and I am able to spend time with friends again.

In the early part of last December I had a class to create a flip over calendar, everyone loved it and made me promise we will do another later in this new year! I thought I might start each month this year by posting the page for that month, so today I share, August which has gentle dragonflies.

I have shared the Pansy Petals Suite before, I love it with all the beautiful pansies. The Designer Series Paper is really spectacular and to ensure its beauty I made it the main part of my card.

I paired the paper with the coordinating Pansy Patch Stamp Set along with the greeting from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set. Each month I send a thank you card to everyone who shops with me for the Stampin’ UP! goodies, and this is the one I made for my June customers.
