We are in the last week for the Stampin UP! 2018 – 2019 annual catalog which means that stamp sets and other products will be retiring and there are some of my favorites among them. So I am going to use my blog posts to share some of the things that are retiring – along with links so that you can put in your order so you don’t miss out.
Today’s card uses the Vertical Greetings Stamp Set ~ along with a little help from the Gallery Grunge Stamp Set (which is not retiring ) some Pool Party Card and a slightly different fold.
Card base: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Pool Party Card
Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 5 1/4 Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 2 3/4
Ink Colors: Pool Party and Early Expresso
I stamped the greeting onto the card base first, using the Stampartus to make sure it was good and straight. Then added the ‘spotty stamp from Gallery Grunge set around the edges of the base card as well as the front of the Whisper White Layer.
I also used the Stampartus to place the central tree before using a little Multipurpose Liquid adhesive to attach it to the center of the Pool Party Layer. A few Basic Pearl Jewels and we are done. I love the simplicity of this card and that it is just a little bit unusual.
The Vertical Greeting Stamp Set also has a ‘Thank You ‘ and ‘Just Because’ stamp so you could change out your theme.
