Heirloom Frames and Daisy Lane Vintage Birthday Card

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Friday was my dear friend Elly (from the UK) birthday.  I have mentioned her on a  number of occasions as she has visited me here in the US several times, helped me with my annual Stampin’ Getaway retreat and craft fairs.  She is a talented papercrafter herself (click here to see her facebook page) so there is some pressure to make a special card 🙂

So today’s  card has a sort of vintage look with some sponging to soften cut edges using the Daisy Lane Stamp set with the Medium Daisy Punch along with the Well Said Stamp Set and coordinating Well Written DIes.

Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Seaside Spray Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Seaside Spray Card

Layer 2:  5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card

Layer 3: 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 Seaside Spray run thru big shot with Heirlooms Frame Dies and 3D embossing folder

Ink Color: Seaside Spray and Sahara Sand

After cutting out the rectangular frame with the dies I ran the piece thru the big shot with the coordinating embossing folder, then sponged the edges to soften the edges a little Click here to learn about the sponging technique.  This is attached to the care with 5 – 6 Stampin Dimensionals.

Each flower is made by stamping and punching two daisies in each color, curling the petals with my bone folder then layering them together with a mini glue dot, before attaching to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It certainly is a very pretty card, and even better in the flesh! Seaside spray is my favourite colour at the moment so this was a very good choice Cindy. Thank you so much xxx
