Welcome back to my corner of the world
While I love to make cards with lots of layers, ribbon and embellishments sometimes it is just nice to make one that has lots of impact because it is very simple.
I have used the Magnolia 3D embossing folder to be the focal point of my card, some simple ink distressing and a little knot of ribbon, perfectly chic and elegant.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Soft Seafoam Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Soft Seafoam Card, run thru the Big Shot with Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder
Ink Colors: Soft Suede
I stamped the greeting first then embossed it, carefully positioning the image so that it would miss the ‘Happy Birthday” The greeting is from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp set, which also has a ‘Thank You’ stamp so would make a perfect substitute!

The edges have been distressed with a Stampin’ Sponge and a little of the Soft Suede ink. Learn the Art of Sponging by clicking here
