Subtles and Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper

Last Thursday and Saturday I shared some projects using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper ~ I am so taken with the paper I used it again for my July customer thank you cards.

In July I hosted a Designer Series Paper Share and although it did not include any of this ‘lacy’ paper it did include the newly introduced 6 x 6 color collections for each of the color families, and I want to show what can be achieved with a 6 x 6 piece of paper.

This is double sided paper featuring ‘formal’ stripes and polka dots and ‘casual’ polka dots and stripes – so my cards have featured both sides of the paper and I chose to use the ‘Subtles’ collection.

Time for Tea with Daffodil Delight ~ Stampin’ UP!

The Tea Room Suite on page 15 of the 2018 -2019 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog plays right into my soft spot…………  I am a tea drinker, preferably made in a pot using loose leaves and with milk – not lemon and  no sugar.  I will compromise and use a tea bag as long as it is Orange Pekoe or Assam but am not taken with some of the fancy ones out there like licorice, peppermint, beet!

So back to the  Tea Room Suite – my card today uses 4 of the goodies, the Time for Tea Stamp Set, the coordinating Spot of Tea Framelit Dies, the DSP and Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack,  I just cannot resist the little die that cuts out the teacup and saucer!

This is the 3rd in my series of short and sweet videos showing tips and techniques using the Stamparatus.  It shows another type of hinge stamping using the delightful Touches of Texture Stamp Set, stamping off technique using the Stamparatus and a little watercoloring

The Stamparatus is Stampin’ UP!’s latest tool  and an absolute must have for all stampers.  It helps you perfectly align your stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and accurately and gets complete ink coverage – ‘cos you can do a ‘do-over’ as my video today will show. Darling Label Punch Box ~ Stampin’ UP!

Today is a ‘twofer’ – two cards for the price of one!  One of the first things on my ‘wish list’ for the 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalog was the Darling Label Punch Box!  It is the cutest tin filled with crafting must-haves, add some card and adhesives and maybe a few embellishments and you are ready to start creating!

This box contains a 6-piece stamp set with a coordinating punch, a clear stamp block and two Stampin’ Spots ~ one in Grapefruit Grove,  the other in Night of Navy.  Both my card use the goodies from this 8 x 8 x 3 size tin plus some Designer Series Paper, ribbon and Metallic Pearls.  You gotta read on to see what I came up with……………………

Silver Embossing Paste meets Dazzling Diamonds

Very often I make a card for a particular occasion then look at it thinking that it would also work for another occasion, and so it is with today’s card.  I wanted a really striking birthday card and used the Silver Embossing Paste on the Night of Navy Card.  As soon as I had finished the birthday version ‘ Christmas’ shouted out to me!  I made a second one and sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over it before allowing it to dry.

Stamparatus ~ Hinge Stamping – Video Tutorial

This is the second of my videos on techniques using the Stamparatus and it features Hinge Stamping.  The Happy Birthday is from the Perennial Birthday Stamp set.

Abstract Impressions ~ Flowers and Hugs

Today’s color combination was inspired by the Garden Impressions Cardstock Pack – where you get 8 sheets of 3 different colors – So Saffron, Melon Mambo and Calypso Coral and coordinates with the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper.  It is not a combination that would have come to mind but Stampin’ UP! does all the hard work and makes me look good.

I chose to go with the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set – which allows me to build up my flowers and has some really cute greetings, it also has a coordinating Springtime Impressions Thinlet Dies which I used to emboss one of my layers.

Hello ~ Accented Blooms

Summer is well and truly with us here in North Texas – we are forecast for 100F+ for the next 10 days.  My garden is looking a little parched despite the fact I am out watering at 7am every day!

One thing that will not fade away in the heat is the lovely flowers that are part of the Accented Blooms Stamp Set.  I have used So Saffron, Pool Party, Powder Pink and Pear Pizzazz to watercolor my flowers and they are still as vibrant as the day I painted them.

Introducing Mango Melody and Lovely Floral Embossing Folder

Oh my gosh…………… it is very nearly 3 weeks since the 2018 – 2019 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog went live!!!

I have shared a number of projects using some of the new products in the catalog – and today is going to be no different.

As you may know, being a demonstrator allows me to have early access to some of the products and one of those was the delicious Share What You Love suite – which included a brand new embossing folder, Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder –  mouthful to say, I know, but oh so very pretty.

I have paired this with the Love What You Do stamp set and one of the new core colors, Mango Melody. Continue reading

Nature’s Poem Suite – Stampin’ UP!

Nature’s Poem Suite ~ what a lovely name for this suite of products which have lots of natural images of trees, leaves and soft mellow colors which include Soft Suede and Cajun Craze, perfect for the autumn (although to be honest I really don’t want to think about that just yet!)

Today’s card features the Rooted in Nature stamp set and the coordinating Nature’s Root Framelit dies – I am thinking this would make a really good guy card.
