Earlier this week I shared a couple of cards with the two-step stampin’ technique using the ‘Bunch of Blossoms’ stamp set. I have a couple of cards today that uses the same stamp set using ‘filler’ stamps to give a more subtle ‘watercolor’ effect, As the stamp set is a photopolymer it is very easy to line up each of the layers – in fact you could even do three layers! The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font. Continue reading

Bunch of Blossoms ~ Stampin’ Up! products
Two-step stampin’ is a really great technique and there are a number of stamp sets in the SU catalog that have been designed especially for this. ‘Bunch of Blossoms’ is one of them. You can use the outline stamp then a ‘filler’ one to give a crisp image or use both ‘filler’ stamps to give a more subtle ‘watercolor’ effect, As the stamp set is a photopolymer it is very easy to line up each of the layers – in fact you could even do three layers! The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font. I have two examples to share today. Continue reading
Grateful Bunch Birthday Card – Stampin’ Up!
Its hard to believe that the 2016 ~ 2018 In-colors are nearly a year old! We get 5 new colors each year, some of them I love on sight, others grow on me. The one that really captured my imagination straightaway was the Flighty Flamingo, the one that needed a little more time was Peekaboo Peach, both colors suit this birthday card perfectly. Birthday Balloons – Stampin’ Up!
During tax season I had 3 birthdays for the ‘littlies’ in my life ~ a grand-daughter, great nephew and the grandson of a dear friend. Balloons are just such cheerful things, they bob and weave and just perfect to celebrate a birthday.
I have added additional classes to my schedule so you might want to go look at the Calendar Tab 🙂

Advent Calendar – Countdown to Christmas ~ Day 3
Back in October my friend, Elly, from the UK and I designed an advent calendar using a 24 cup mini muffin pan. During December I will share one of the squares, with a brief description of each.
You will want to open each post, as there will be a little treat behind each one! Some days it might be some virtual ‘candy’ or sweeties as we call them in the UK, other times it might be a card, 3D project or a video!

Double Slider Birthday Card ~ Stampin’ Up! Products
We’ve 4 granddaughters, all of whom live with their parents in the UK so we don’t get to see them as much as we would like.
Granddaughter # 2 celebrated her 5th birthday in October and I thought the “Fairy Celebration’ stamp set would be perfect for her card.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart ~ Stampin’ Up! Products
Earlier this month my husband celebrated a milestone birthday, he is my best friend, the father to two beautiful boys and Grandpa to 4 of the sweetest little granddaughters. He also has the patience of a saint, never says a word when he comes home from work and there is a houseful of ladies stampin’ cuttin’ and stickin’. Bits of glitter and backs of dimensionals on the floor don’t phase him and will happily stand there manning a craft fair booth all day!
So this special fella deserves a special card…………………
Double Waterfall Card ~ Stampin’ Up! Products
This is one of those cards that you make for someone special – a friend who has a heart of gold, is in your Stampin’ Up! team, is very supportive and brings you cookies and cakes when she visits!
When you make a card for a fellow card maker you know that she will appreciate it but that she will also look at it very closely to see how it is done! So you try to out do yourself because you don’t want to produce an ‘ordinary’ card.
Irresistibly Floral Card ~ Stampin’ Up! Products
I love heat embossing ~ it just has to be one of my most favorite techniques, but when you add the ‘resist’ part of the technique it really gives a punch to the finished project. Sometimes, though it is nice not to have to do the heat embossing and just go onto the ‘resist’…. and the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Paper a perfect solution! I wanted to showcase this gorgeous paper in a recent class and here is the card we all made…………………
