Magnolia Blooms, Scalloped Note Cards with a touch of Watercoloring

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Tucked away  on page 168 of the 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog are some of the cutest notecards – they have a dainty scalloped edge to the card as well as the envelope.  The Scalloped Notecards and Envelope pack contains 20 cards with envelopes – 5 each of 4 different colors.

I chose to use these along with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and some water color pencils to make the Thank You cards for my lovely customers who shopped with me for their Stampin’ UP! supplies in July.

So when a dear friend’s husband announced he was retiring in August it was the perfect occasion to celebrate with a card for him.

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop ~ Summer

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from  Rochelle’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month we have a  ‘Summer ‘  theme.  Summer always evokes flowers in my mind so I focused on using the flower stamp sets and punches Stampin’ Up has available.

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.

Heirloom Frames and Daisy Lane Vintage Birthday Card

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Friday was my dear friend Elly (from the UK) birthday.  I have mentioned her on a  number of occasions as she has visited me here in the US several times, helped me with my annual Stampin’ Getaway retreat and craft fairs.  She is a talented papercrafter herself (click here to see her facebook page) so there is some pressure to make a special card 🙂

So today’s  card has a sort of vintage look with some sponging to soften cut edges using the Daisy Lane Stamp set with the Medium Daisy Punch along with the Well Said Stamp Set and coordinating Well Written DIes.

The Art of Stampin’ off with Seaside Notions – Video Tutorial

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Time for another technique today ~ Stamping techniques are simply ways to use your stamping supplies with a different approach to create a fun effect.

Stampin’ off gives you lighter shades of your ink color, giving you lots more flexibility to create texture on your cards/scrapbook pages.  I have used the Seaside Notions Stamp Set to make today’s card which was for my eldest step-sons birthday last week

Friends Forever ~ Happy Tails from Stampin’ UP!

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

We were away on holiday (vacation) last week and our dear, sweet puppies, Daisy Mae and CiCi went to stay with some friends – who spoiled them rotten I am sure!  But I did so miss them and their little ways.  Needless to say when we got home they gave us a wonderful welcome – then Daisy Mae promptly gave us the ‘cold shoulder’ as punishment for leaving her!

So our ‘girls’ are our friends forever and today’s card is just for them with a lovely doggie theme from the Happy Tails Stamp set

Beautiful Friendship with a touch of Beautiful Bouquet

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Today’s card started life as a design for a Baby Shower,  I was asked to create for a friend.  The Beautiful Friendship stamp set has the most wonderful, soft flower images allowing you to build up just the design you want.

I could not bring myself to discard the samples I made so I pulled out the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set to convert one to a Birthday card and the other for a Wedding Anniversary
