Fond Farewell ~ Golden Afternoon ‘Thinking of You’

Just 3 more days before the  Stampin UP! 2018 – 2019  annual catalog retires and well-loved and well-used  stamp sets and other products retire.  In the last few weeks I been using  my blog posts to share some of the things that are retiring – along with links so that you can put in your order so you don’t miss out.

Today’s card uses the Golden Afternoon Stamp Set ~ along with the 1/2 ” Lace Trim.  This set has some useful phrases, whether you use it for Thinking of You as I have done or Sympathy, Thanks as well as ‘ Hope your Day is as Wonderful as You”  If you are a regular follower of my blog you will know I love greetings with a cursive script and this set has really pretty ones. 🙂

Happy Birthday, Holly

Our youngest grand-daughter turned 4 a couple of weeks ago ~ I am not very good with cards for littlies so I let my  High Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper do all the work with a little help from the Well Said and Well Written Framelit Dies. (this is available as a bundle with a 10% discount if you order before June 3rd)

The How Sweet it is DSP contains some really fun designs with lollipops, cupcakes and gummy bears among them, the colors are really bright and cheerful and perfect for a  little girl!

Today’s I am offering another in my Sweet and Simple series ~ where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!  I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, and a couple of ink pads.

Today’s card uses the Timeless Textures Stamp Set ~ I truly have loved this set – and have used it on so many projects – the texture stamps are so versatile and todays card uses the stamps as the focal point – I shall miss this set when it retires at the end of the month.
