We have a brand new Occasions catalog but we can still get the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and that really cute Cat Punch, both of which I used to create this card. I used the one of the greetings from the stamp set but it would make a perfect birthday card for a child I think. This card also uses a couple of products from my stash that get overlooked, the Starburst Punch and the Wood Texture DSP Stack.

Pressed Leaves ~ Stampin’ UP!
Back in the late summer, early autumn I was looking for a technique for my monthly class and came across using fresh leaves – which is kind of a modern take on the old dried pressed leaves and flowers. It was a lot of fun to do and you can make a lot of cards in a very small amount of time…… and each one will be unique. Continue reading
Painted Harvest Hedgehogs
I just love hedgehogs – they remind me of my childhood when we would find them in the garden and put out bread soaked in milk! Well, we all now know that this is NOT good for them at all and a little dog or cat food would have been far more suitable!
Another thing I love at the moment is the Painted Harvest Stamp set – it is so versatile it even makes hedgehogs! Continue reading
Delightful Daisy Floating Image Card
One of my Yorkie’s is called Daisy – it is such a lovely light and fresh name, and because she is a Southern Belle she is formally known as ‘Miss Daisy’. If she had not have been Daisy she would have been Poppy, again because it is a bright and happy name ~ and I just love flowers!
When the Delightful Daisy Suite became available as a pre-order for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators it was at the top of my list particularly the Designer Series Paper which I am featuring today, along with the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and a brief appearance by one of my favorite sets ‘ One Big Meaning’ Continue reading
Lace Edge Card – video tutorial
Yesterday the new Holiday catalog went live – lots of lovely Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween themed goodies to choose from! (Let me know if you would like a copy – I will be happy to send one to you)
Yes – it is only September 2nd and maybe a tad early to do Christmas but one of the new bundles Snowflakes Sentiments caught my eye because of the lovely lacy dies and the little snowflakes that can easily look like flowers. So I used it to create a birthday card (or two) and a thank you card. I prepared a video to show a couple of tips and techniques for using the die and the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and you will see my trusty Piercing Tool come into action…. a lot! Continue reading
Beautiful Bouquet Thank you card
Today I am sharing a card inspired by the Creating Pretty Cards sketch from Craft Project Central. I am always looking for ideas for my card projects and have found Craft Project Central to be a very good source of inspiration.
So the story behind today’s card is very simple – I needed a birthday card for a dear friend and a thank you card for another. One friend just loves black and white, so there was a good starting point, I had also just received the new leaf punch from Stampin’ UP!’s Holiday Catalog and was looking for ANY excuse to use it ! Beautiful Bouquet ~ Thanks a Bunch
The inspiration for this card came from Pinterest – and shame on me I did not make a note of the creative soul who made it…………… nor could I find it again!
I am very cautious with Pinterest – yes – it is full of such beautiful ideas and a huge source of inspiration but you can get lost in it and before you know what happened several hours have passed and not a lot to show for it! (just don’t ask me how I know!) So I ration myself and on one of the occasions I did dip in I found this idea – and I just love it. Continue reading
Mystery Stamping with Lovely Friends
Last Sunday evening my Stampin’ UP! grandma organised another mystery stamping event on our teams Facebook page. It is the latest in a series she had done over the last few years and they are a lot of fun.
She starts by giving us a list of supplies, this time it was a card base plus a layer, a Whisper White oval, some ribbon and linen thread, then to choose a stamp set with flowers and greetings and two ink pads. Continue reading
Eastern Beauty…… just 2 more……
I did say last week I had a couple more cards made with the Eastern Palace Suite to share – the stamp set, dies, designer paper and embellishments are just too pretty not to use again and again ~ the lovely jewel tones keep drawing me back, so much so I had to buy another pack of the paper and those gold stickers.
You can check out all of the products in this suite on page 19 of the 2017 – 2018 catalog ~ don’t have a copy? Just leave me a comment and I will get right back to you. Continue reading
Rose Wonder White Wash
I love the Rose Wonder Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! It has a big, bold rose image which just fills the front of a card and then a whole host of greetings which pretty much would suit any occasion….. thanks, wedding wishes, thoughts and prayers, birthday and sympathy. Continue reading
