Recently I have shared ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas – and here we are in the thick of Holiday preparations! But you know, there are still folks who have birthdays this time of year ……. have you tried to find a birthday card in the stores? – there are some but not a great selection BUT when you make your own cards you can create just the perfect card for the person celebrating!

Mistletoe and Holly ~ Paper Pumpkin for November
Would you like a present every single month? I might just have something just perfect for you…………………… a little magic in a box!
Stampin’ Up introduced Paper Pumpkin in March 2013 – it is a card crafting kit in a box, which contains everything you need to make the projects inside ~ you just need to supply adhesive and paper snips.
Each months’ project is designed to take about 30 to maybe 45 mins, the projects range from cards, treats or home decor, you never know what you will be getting – it is a surprise every month and I look forward to it arriving in my mail box.
Flowering Flourishes Birthday ~ Stampin’ Up!
Flowering Flourishes is another of those stamp sets that lend itself to almost any occasion – and the occasion this time is my Mum-in-Law’s birthday. She is about to celebrate her 94th birthday and pinks are her favorite color.
Awesomely Artistic Better Get Better!! ~ from Stampin’ Up!
I have lost count of the number of times I have used the Awesomely Artistic stamp set. It has a bunch of such lovely images that will work with any greeting you need to use.
This time I used it for a ‘Get Well’ card – we all need those from time to time.
Christmas Among the Branches ~ from Stampin’ Up!
This stamp set did not really appeal for me until I saw it when I was at the Stampin’ Up Inspire, Create, Share event in Salt Lake City back in July.
It has stamps that work for Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall and Christmas – all three of the major holidays. I have used this set a lot in my classes over the last couple of months and have been sharing them with you over the last few days.
Thanksgiving ~ Among the Branches
Goodness me…. this is my 300th post!!!!! Wow, I am quite amazed that I have this much to share……..hhhhmmm to continue…..
This is the second card using this stamp set which really did not have much appeal for me until I saw it at the Stampin’ Up Inspire, Create, Share event in Salt Lake City back in July.

Stampin Getaway…….. part 2
Last week I shared some of the preparation and projects for the Stampin’ Getaway I hosted on October 3rd. We had a great location – in the Community Room of one of the Fire Station’s in McKinney – we had lots of space to spread out, little kitchen area for lunch and snacks and with the exception of the monthly testing of the fire sirens – it was very quiet!
Mark your calendars……………. our next Getaway with be in May 2016.
Here are a few more pictures to share with you of our projects and the day…………
I’m Back…………………….
I have been conspicuous by my absence over the last couple of weeks, partly this is ‘life’ stepping in but mainly it was due to me preparing for the Stampin’ Getaway I hosted last Saturday. Although I had done a lot of designing and prep work thru August and September, there was a bunch of stuff that could not be done until the last minute – that took some time!
Anyway, I want to share some of the experience with you…………..
Birthday Butterflies on Bordering Blooms Card with Video
Back in June a dear friend of mine from my UK days celebrated a birthday – she is a lover of PINK – so I usually make her a predominantly pink card and this year was no exception.
